Carpet? Sound deadener?

I finally got all the rusty floor panels taken care of... so now it's time to carpet and do some sound/heat insulation. I'm looking for a material that's not as expensive as Dynamat, but still works well. I've heard of "Brown Bread" .. are there any other sound deadeners out there that are worth a look?

Also, carpet will be going over the insulation, obviously. Have those of you who've replaced your carpet just gone with the molded set from a Vendor? Or have you purchased / cut & fit your own? Any good tips ore types of carpet to use?

I love this customizing stuff.... now if only I had more money... and time... and..... LOL

Thanks in advance guys (and gals)

Russ

Just did mine with Brown Bread and new carpet from GMC Pauls. The carpet either comes with, or you have to buy, replacement heat/sound insulation, a black die cut asphault thing and some white closed cell foam. I put the black/white factory stuff over the Brown Bread, then the carpet then sprayed some undercoating underneath. Its great.
