Talking One step closer to installing the big block!

Got the 454 pulled finally on Friday. It was so easy, I put it back in twice just for the fun of pulling it more! Could have used a second pair of hands a couple times, but managed to get it pulled alone. I'm so glad I broke down and bought an engine hoist/crane. I don't see how I could have done it with just an A-frame.

As you may recall, I'm selling the TBI and going carburated. After dealing with the wiring, I'm so glad I made that decision. I feel sorry for the guy who has to put it on his engine. I labeled as much of the wiring as I could, but it's still going to be a mess.

Next step, rent a power washer for a couple hours.

You don't wanna install that dirty 454 in your nice clean truck!! You need a nice 355. And son of a gun I have one for ya, so I will be right there with it, and I can take that dirty 454 off your hands for ya! See I care about my fellow board members!

I'd be interested in buying that 454 throttle body - just the tb/injectors, not the wiring - if you're interested in selling.
