clutch linkage question -

Is this how the linkage sets in the throw out fork? It doesn't seem right, seems like it would slip down. If you have a picture how it should look or if this is how it should look, let me know. I replaced the spring and forgot what it looked like before.

That is set up properly, but the rod should stick through the back of the fork to hold things in place. i think the rod may have been shortened sometime in its life? you could weld a pc of bolt to the backend of the rod, or maybe shorten the front side of the little pc that touches the fork, then re adjust the clutch(if you have enough adjustment on the front of the rod). crazyL

Looks like he has a spacer between the wedge and the shoulder of the rod. Spacer should not be there. How about a pic of the rod at the bell crank where the adjustment takes place.

That does look like an added spacer,now that I take a 2nd look....
