will or won't fit?????

I found some headman headers on craigslist for a '68 p/u. I was wondering if they would fit my '72 blazer. I think they are for a 2wd but i'm not sure. They are the long tube headers and he'll take $35.00 for them. Thanks. Mario.

Re: will or won't fit?????

I don't think 2wd headers fit a 4wd, but hopefully someone else will pipe in.

Re: will or won't fit?????

Heck,my 4wd version headers barely fit...My advice is just to stay with manifolds.Too many issues (Atleast in my experience) with the long tube headers causing clearance issues between the front shackles, driveshaft,z bar,and just trying to route the exhaust on the passenger side between the frame and the t-case..Is your truck a manual or automatic? If its a manual your headers and z-bar won't work good together..

His is an auto but I had hell finding headers to fit my clutch linkage. Headman's turned out to be my solution. They fit great.

Re: will or won't fit?????

LUV found some headers that fit GQ really well. Ask him what they were.

Re: will or won't fit?????

Mine are Hedman "Elites" as far as 2wd headers fitting? I doubt it. Mine are
not full length, they are called 3/4 length because they are higher than my
shackles. My passenger pipe was run almost straight through the transcase
area instead of curved like most. There are pictures in my "GQ" siggy link. If
you click it, then go to pages 13 (Headers) & then also 16-18 (Exhaust)

EDIT: If you look close at pic #4 on page 13 you can see where the header
used to hook to the pipe (Pipe is hung solid there) and look higher up to see
the new header already mounted. (I think it was alot higher, around 6"-8") I
also edited my Cardomain site w/ the Header part #'s for others to enjoy.

Re: will or won't fit?????

Just my opinion based off what I was told, there is no gain with headers over a set of center dump ram horn manifolds. This was based off of a dyno test between the two on the small block in my Blazer. Not sure if it makes a diff on how the engine is setup or not, or what it was built to do, but thats a definite possibility too.

Re: will or won't fit?????

not sure of any power gains, but i'm down to one rams horn since one broke when i was taking it off. used headers are just cheaper. mario

Have to agree there! With gasoline approaching $4.00 a gallon (I wonder when the rioting will start?) every penny saved is a penny earned.
