82 Carb problems update

First off thanks to everyone that helped.
I took some video of the problems so that everyone could see what I am having problems with.
Only one of the squirters is shooting out gas, the other one only drips. Look at the video and tell me what to do. Should I rebuild it?

How old is your fuel pump? I have a filter identical to that on my Silverado and my filter stays full, completely full...you may be running out of gas to the carb.

Re: 82 Carb problems update

Like I said, my fuel filter stays full...completely full. For $15 it might be worth throwing on a new pump first. My pump is one off the shelf at Autozone, nothing special.

I'm running an 830 Spreadbore Holley too. On an almost 500hp Small Block and it keeps it fed, but that carb looks like it's seen better days. It'll run you close to $50 to put new needles, seats, gaskets, and accelerator pump in it. Might wanna try that $15 pump first.

Re: 82 Carb problems update

The carb is a 600cfm 4160 model, I can get a rebuild kit for $22 at the parts store. If there is fuel in the filter then the pump is doing it's job I would think.

is it filling the float bowl completely up? probably not judging by the fuel filter...see what I'm saying?
