i know this is a dumb question but does anyone know where to get red plastic covers for the lights that go in the gauges. we have all of the covers in but one and i guss we lost it.
we checked advanced auto , walmart and napa and they dident have them

You can get them from Jegs or Summit.
Or you can buy a guage from the local autoparts store, pick out the cover and return the guage, No I'm kidding dont do that. Here is a link to Jegs.
They are pretty much autometer specific.

we used to spraypaint the bulbs it worked ok for a whiletill the paint flakes off in a year or so

Are you looking for the little round plastic cover that fits over the round cardboard piece for the low and high beam. If so give me your address and I will give you one, hows that sound.

Rather than buy bulb covers, why not install red LED's?

hmmm that mite be a good idea
its going to have red led for the turn signal indicatiors so it mite as well have red led for the lights.
would it be to bright or the same as the bulb?

with you being in charlotte, i cant place where the closet truck stop is that carries those red rubber covers. but the pilot truck stop at the statesville ave exit should have those bulbs already painted red.they may even have them in led

I know for a fact that the auto meter bulb covers will fit over stock bulbs when i had red covers on mine i put a cover on the bulb in my heater controls too. I ditched the covers after a while though so i could see the guages better at night

one more question about the gauges...well not really
my gauge cluster came from covans classic and it does not have any holes for the turn signal indicators or high beam indicator.
could you just get 3 led lights and drill holes in the panel and hook the turn signal indicators into the switch or are there not there for a reason?

I found 1 red bulb cover in the garage today. If you want it, PM me your mailing address & Ill put it in an envelope...

Forgot, radio shack has a variety of colored small lights that work good for what you need...
