Does anyone re-pop these?

Does anyone know if anyone re-pops the sheetmetal for around the tail lights? mine has the typical abuse all around the lenses, and is smashed beyond hammering out. I cannot find a bed up here( alaska) and the shipping to get a bed side up here, is more than I paid for the truck.

any suggestions?

Re: Does anyone re-pop these?

The only repair sheet metal I've heard of for the tail light area is for the suburbans. I've not seen or heard of any for the fleetside bedsides. Hafta look for a bedside to get your repair section. Had to do the same repair to one of my bedsides.

Re: Does anyone re-pop these?

I could swear I saw some vendor a while back have those, (not the burb ones). I remember they were not cheap.

Re: Does anyone re-pop these?

I have the same problem on Both of my trucks. Back in the day must have been the thing to smash up the rear a bit.

Re: Does anyone re-pop these?

No re-pops that I'm aware of except for the burb. Best bet is to find a beater with good rear corners you could cut off or get with one of the used part guys here on the board like Randy (teeitup) or someone else. Good luck.

I can't remember who it was either. It's been a while. I'll look around also.

Re: Does anyone re-pop these?

This is what I'm dealin with. The right side is worse than this, the camera would not focus in, so I didnt post those pics.

What do you guys think about cutting the section out, then restraightening the panel on the workbench?

Re: Does anyone re-pop these?

I don't know where he got them but Hart_Rod used some to put truck tail lights on a burb. You might PM him and ask. Here's the page in his build thread that starts the tail light mod.

Good luck!

Re: Does anyone re-pop these?

OK...Here is a truck I just got in. I don't see any rust or bondo in these back corners...one dime-sized ding.
I could cut these off just in front of the side marker and they should be reasonable sized to ship.
