6 lugs to 5 lugs
I want to do a 6 lug to 5 lug conversion. A neighbor has a 83 Chevy and it's a 5 lug all around. Will I be able to use the front and back suspension on my 69 Chevy?

Re: 6 lugs to 5 lugs
The front you can without any changes. Not sure about the rear though....

Re: 6 lugs to 5 lugs
if you have a leaf spring rear on the 69, then all you'd have to do is cut off a shock mount and weld it onto the other side.
If you have a coil rear, you can do it with some more cutting and welding, and a kit to mount the panhard bar. I would look at the gear ratio in the later rear before jumping at it, they had some 2.56 gears in some of those that will make it a total dog and MPG will likely not be anything to write home about. |

Re: 6 lugs to 5 lugs
places like CPP and Early Classic Enterprises sell replacement 5 lug axles and brake drums to make the rear conversion with your stock rearend.
The stuff from the 83 will work on the 69, (spindle and rotor, but you have to swap the tie rod ends and balljoints i believe to the later stuff)
