What is this truck worth? (PICS)
I am new to the 67-72 trucks and value the opinion of others. I am just getting out of the rockcrawling/offroading hobby and looking to get into these trucks. In the past 2 weeks I have found atleast 10 of these trucks in my area. I usually have alot of parts for whatever type of vehicle I am working on. I may post up from time to time needing the value of a truck and may be willing to part out, post up if your interested in any way.
What is this one worth? I was told it will run and drive, but the carb needs rebuilding before this will happen. Has a late model centerbolt SB and the original PowerGlide tranny. Thanks - JP |

Re: What is this truck worth? (PICS)
Being a shortbed, if it does run, here in the southeast......$800-$1800. If the floors and cab corners look as bad as that rocker......closer to the $800-$1200 range. This is just because its a shortbed and being a 1967 might ad a little bit also.
Or you could buy for $800 and run it through Barrett Jackson and get $55,000 for it!!!!

Re: What is this truck worth? (PICS)
I paid $1100 for my 67 short fleet and it did not run, but I would say it was about the same condition as the one you pictured...
(and then just last year I was able to pick up another 67 short fleet in pieces with NO RUST and no motor and in better shape then my first truck for $100).... |

Between $1000 and $1500 -- if you get it for less than that, you are doing good

Re: What is this truck worth? (PICS)
Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. I have been finding a bunch of these trucks. Any help I get on here on the board could benefit everyone in the future.
Any and all input is appreciated. Just wondering, do ya'll get tired of these types of threads? I personally like them as they give me a sense of direction on were these trucks have been and where they are going. |

Re: What is this truck worth? (PICS)
I'll weight in on the 1 to 2 k range.. mostly because It's a SWB small window 67.

Re: What is this truck worth? (PICS)
Rives is in NW TN. One hour above Jackson. Look for Union City on the map, it is close to there.
Is the small window more or less desireable on the 67? Thanks guys, keep the comments coming. I may have more that I need help with soon. |

Re: What is this truck worth? (PICS)
the small back window is more disirable because it was only made in 1967.

Re: What is this truck worth? (PICS)
For me personaly the small window would be less desirable. A lot of people do like them though.

WIw threads can be fun because they sometimes spark interesting debates about values -- but mostly everyone agrees on things in the same ballpark. If you start a 67-72 salvage operation, you might want to register -- its $25 and will give you access to the for sale section as a seller (actually, the 25$ donation is good whether you sell or not, as it keeps the site going -- thats as cheap as a magazine subscription and can be much more entertaining)

Re: What is this truck worth? (PICS)
To me, that's the cream of the crop of these trucks. A much as I love all of them, the '67 SWB Chevy is the best looking one ever made IMO. If you decide to pass on it, please let me know! I'm just down the road from you.

Re: What is this truck worth? (PICS)
$1000 - $1500 if the cab is fixable would not be out of line IMO.

Re: What is this truck worth? (PICS)
I agree with the general thought that the truck is worth $1000 to $1500. As far as swapping and selling spare parts, please subscribe to the board before attempting any sales. It is in the rules in the welcome section. The National meet is in TN this year, hope to see you there!

Re: What is this truck worth? (PICS)
Sorry, I locked this one. I think I was wrong about the WIW rule. Since you a re asking value to purchase, not sell, I think it's ok.. . sorry for the confusion

Re: What is this truck worth? (PICS)
The VIN is exactly the same as mine except the serial number is off by about 20K. My truck was built at the same plant (St. Louis) probably 2 or 3 months before this one.
My VIN reads CS147S16XXXX

Re: What is this truck worth? (PICS)
Thanks everyone.
I just could not make up my mind exactly what the truck might be worth. Of all the vehicles I have had, this would be my first 67-72 purchase. Still need to verify exactly what the engine is and see if it will actually run before making a decision.

Re: What is this truck worth? (PICS)
Just to add to this, you made a comment about verifying the engine. The truck is 6 cylinder truck as the vin's second character, the "S" indicates (Would be a "E" for the V8). So, the V8 in it now is not original.
