I would really like to have a manual tilt column, more than my speed alert or auto tilt or a set of 68-71 BB engine stands. I f you are interested in a trade PM me so we can work out the details.

Re: WTT for manual tilt column

It is a nice tight factory auto truck tilt not van, still has the GM sticker on the lower portion of the tube even, just hate to cut it up. If I could find M/T upper column parts I might convert it over, but it is too nice or that right now.

Re: WTT for manual tilt column

maybe you can sell the original auto tilt and buy a van tilt to convert to a manual tilt. i used to have all the goodies to make a 4 speed tilt out of an auto column but traded them to bill at vintage chevy truck out here in fremont ca.

Re: WTT for manual tilt column

I did see a few different ways to convert.... one welded and the other purchased a plastic sleeve column. I wouldn't convert an original auto truck tilt but am going to so a van tilt... I bought the collar parts for it of the board here...

Re: WTT for manual tilt column

LMK when you guys, get around to working on your tilts. I have a floor shift upper column pc. that I have to swap out. Not sure what work is involved, just have some disassembly pics.

Frank i would like to stay with the original theme on the truck. But those flaming river pieces of yours are really tempting. Iwill have to think about that. PM me some prices. Thanks

Re: WTT for manual tilt column

Would you be interested in selling the auto tilt you have? I have no trade. Just a one owner, all original, '71 GMC LB that I'm planning to restore as soon as the barn (garage) is completed. This site is my first, and best source for information so far. Just lurking.........and learning.
