Rear Gas Tank, Fill from license plate location
Hello,
I am currently looking to move my cab mounted gas tank to the rear (spare tire) location. I have seen a couple people mount gas tanks in the rear to have the filler hose location behind the license plate. The one guy I remember did this with a 18 gal camaro tank. I am looking for a tank that would be a bit bigger (20-25gal), but would like to fill behind the license plate location. I am not interested in have a mount in the bed or tail light. I wanted to see if anyone has done this before or could tell me of a tank that would work. Thanks, Adam |

Re: Rear Gas Tank, Fill from license plate location
I saw a 71 Chevy truck at a truck show of ours that had the fuel filler behind his license plate. He said that it filled slow, but worked quite well. I also have a friend that has a 41 Chevy pickup that has an 81 Chevy Camaro gas tank under it and it fills from the license plate area.

Re: Rear Gas Tank, Fill from license plate location
the big problem with behind the plate mounting is how low the tank needs to be in order for it to accept gas
