Tranny ?

Just had the T350 in the 69 built and installed. If you are going say 45mph and put your foot in it the engine rev's up before it transfers the power to the tranny. Is this a kickdown issue? Hope you can understand my description.

Re: Tranny ?

Sounds more like a slipping issue... you checked the fluid level since driving it?
Engine and tranny warm (not hot like after freeway cruising or towing... just run it around the block a few times driving like a normal person) Parked on level ground, engine running, go through all gear selections, pausing at each one, then the same thing headed back up to park, then pull the dipstick, wipe, reinsert it, and look at the level.

I just got this truck in May and before the tranny was rebuilt yesterday it did the same thing. Prior to this year it has been almost 10 years since the my other truck the 72 was on the road and everyting I drove since then has been new and would have some hesitation as well. This is why I am a little confused as to if this is correct. I have only driven it about fifteen miles since I picked it up so I will definately follow your advice. Thanks
