Camaro Headers on my truck?
I think I remember someone posting pictures and info on using camaro shorty headers in their big block truck. I'm almost ready to swap my small block to a 454 in my 71 shortwide and want as much ground clearance as possible with headers. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas I would really appreciate it. I want to order some this week.

Re: Camaro Headers on my truck?
I have used truck headers in camaros and novas,as well as nova/camaro headers in trucks. The car headers work better in the trucks than the truck headers in the cars. I prefer long tubes so car headers go in my trucks for clearance.

Re: Camaro Headers on my truck?
I was thinking of patroit clippster headers from summit part number
PTE-H8013-1. If you have a chance take a look and let me know if you think they would serve my purpose. I would greatly appreciate it . |

Re: Camaro Headers on my truck?
Since those are actually like a 3/4 length header you should be fine and can make your lead pipes stay above the frame for best clearances. I mean your exhaust shop if you have a specified one. The is nothing wrong with thos headers and the price seems fair, but I havent used that name brand before. Hedmans,Hooker,Paceetter, and others yes but not those.

Re: Camaro Headers on my truck?
Try this kit out if you havent already thought of it......Im placing my order in a few weeks.Makes the exhaust routing alot easier rather than using stock crossmember for tranny. Sure there are alot cheaper ways but for the price and what you get its a great kit.

Re: Camaro Headers on my truck?
Do you think the engine mounts would work OK for my big block? That would be a great kit, I'm using a 700r4 as well.
