Re: best carburetor for 402bb
I have a 350 and a Quad jet, I am sending the carb off to get rebuilt by a Pro. I would think a Good Quad Jet would work OK. With the BB I would think you would want at least a 750.

The 600 is great for my 350.... I'd go with the 750 if I was you.

Re: best carburetor for 402bb
I would buy a big block quadrajet and have it professionally rebuilt. Q-jets are 750 cfm I believe and have HUGE secondarys for the power you want when you kick it down! I wouldn't go any smaller than a 750 though, bbc like the gas! Just a sidenote, I have had NO luck with edelbrock carbs, they are PITA to start and I don't think they're worth the money.

Re: best carburetor for 402bb
Quadrajet all the way...Call a guy named "Sparky" in Milwaukee, WI w/Sparkys Carburator service...His work is top notch including replating and will cost less than the "new" Edelbrock Quadrajets that I believe have been discontinued.
His number if you are interested is (414) 447-7500 and his official name is Greg. Alan |
