New shoes!

I picked my truck from the tire shop when I got off this evening, but as you tell, it was too dark for the pics to turn out any better. We have been working so much I haven't time to clean up the truck in weeks! I know blackwalls are the norm these days, but I love the look of the RWL BF G's. I put 275/60's on the rear and 255/60's on front and a brand new set of the wide 8" Corvette Rally beauty rings. I got him to leave off the center caps because mine are filthy and I'm thinking about going with a smaller center cap than the big factory ones that came on the 6 lug rallys. I have a new set of ECE drop springs that I'm going to put it whenever I can get some time off. Just the tires and rings made a huge difference in the look of it. Sorry the pics are so crappy, but I should be able to get better ones this weekend.

Yep that was me! I would have come over and spoke if I had seen you. Yes, I'd like to look at it. Did you ever get it home, or is it still at Jerry's?

I ordered 2/4 springs. I think that is going to be the perfect stance for me since I do still use the truck.

Very astute response...Yes, back in the late 60's and early 70's RWL were the fad of the day. I too like he look of RWL on 67_C-30's truck. Is that a 69 or 70? I get them missed up. I do like those shoes!

Re: New shoes!

what's next? 4" drop, long side pipes and a moon visor? I think that would be cool.

what if you were to paint the center of the rallys body color?

Yeah, I like rallye's with T/A's....like on my truck. By the way, this is what it looked like right before I dropped it off for body/paint.

It's a '69.

Its getting a TPI'ed 350 and new paint hopefully all before summer. I'm really hoping to make the board meet in it.

Re: New shoes!

I drove across the raod to river this evening and snapped a few pics of the truck in the daylight.

I got a PM about the width of the rear rim, and here are the up close pics of the rear rim. As I said, it is only a regular 15 X 8 4X4 Rally, but I'm running an 1 1/4" spacer to achieve the wide look. They are just barely inside the outer wheel lips.

I have to get some stuff boxed up tomorrow, but if I get done in time, I'm hoping to be able to put the drop springs on it tomorrow evening!
