Nice truck but I am not a fan of the tail gate moled off. It is just too flat to me.

Re: 2008 World of Wheels.....'63 pickup
If I was using a custom inner door panel, I think you could just make a removeable access plate on the inside of the door to put a one piece window through, for installation.

Re: 2008 World of Wheels.....'63 pickup
I didnt see if the glass was installed, Dino. That looks like a tough angle to overcome.........Ill look at the original pics to see if I can tell.
Where is my GMC hood?

No their is no door glass in that truck. If you look in the second pic in the first post you can see it does not have window felts or window scrapers!

Re: 2008 World of Wheels.....'63 pickup
I see what the issue with the one piece glass is now....
It might actually work in the gant's truck because it is chopped, and the front post might have straightened out enough to make it work.... I think there is a way to do a one piece side glass in an unchopped one though. If you draw a 90 degree vertical line(see picture)from the farthest point of the window, that is where your window chanel will have to be. It will stick out of the front of the door, and into the dogleg structure for the windshield-so that will have to be notched for the new chanel to close into. This probably would not work on a suicide door truck. A ton of work, but if you really wanted a one piece window I think it would be do-able. |

Re: 2008 World of Wheels.....'63 pickup
Has anyone done custom interior door panels similar to the blue truck?
If so - how do they attach? Drilled holes with plastic clips? |

If they are like the kits we sold when I worked for golden state, they use industrial velcro-some tough stuff.

Re: 2008 World of Wheels.....'63 pickup
here are some shots of it at the GNRS, a better shot of the door/window too.
there is a phone# on the back window, you could call him and see if he figured out one piece door windows... |
