Sat pics (1-12) Just creepin!
Wasn't much going on but we got out the C10 and did some creepin around Chattanooga. I got to try out my new tripod for the first time as well. Some of these were shot in some shady neighborhoods if you know what I mean. Hope ya like em!
Very dark, but I liked it. Slowed the shutter down a bit more. Can you tell my new tripod is taller than the old one? I just like the way this sign looks on the corner of this old building. And yes I'm in the center of the street for this shot. Sometimes you just have to act like you know what you're doing and that you're supposed to be there and people will leave you alone. A cop rode by while I was shooting this, he slowed and then kept rollin. This old gas station had a sign that read " Due to the mechanical limits of our pumps, prices are double what is posted". New tripod again. Old tripod. |

Awsome pics. I am a fan of the old signs etc. you just don't see much of that around where I live any more.....I like the detail, glint of parking lights, etc. Great stuff.

Great shots of the old buildings and signs. Oh yea the truck too! You knew that though. I have a old tri-pod that has the adjustable legs on it. I had a table top Tri-pod also.

I've always enjoyed the pictures of your truck you post. You always find a way to incorporate the surroundings just right. You are the Hugh Heffner of truck photography.

I always look froward to your pics and your trucks. Love the old signs! Many have stated it...I would buy your calendar!

Re: Sat pics (1-12) Just creepin!
Thanks guys! I appreciate you all humoring my photgraphic interests. As always I would be glad to shoot pics of anyone's ride who wants to come by or meet me somewhere where I can shoot. This is just kind of a hobby for me and I really don't know anything about it. I just know how I want a pic to look and sometimes they work out and sometimes they don't. Here's a link to an article (which I haven't yet fully read) about why your camera doesn't matter.
http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/notcamera.htm I was referenced to it from another forum that I lurk around on from time to time. All these pics were shot with a point and shoot camera thats a couple years old. I've got a newer and higher megapixel version of this same camera, but I like the older one better for low light conditions. Last edited by see ten; 01-16-2008 at 01:08 PM. |

Re: Sat pics (1-12) Just creepin!
When I see your pics I dont usually think about the camera making the great pics, I have a decent digi & my pics suck. You have a good eye for making them great...
