Shaved bedside, before and after
Pics of before and after. I shaved the top bed line and bottom line just above the steps, gas filler, and stake pockets. Just helps it all flow a little better

Yep, That's my old 72 GMC. I had her about done and some lady hit me and totaled it out. So I bought the 68 and robbed the 72 of all the GOOD stuff, then sold the rest.

Thanks Tim, Lightspeed I paid $800 for mine with slight fiberglass damage. Would have been cheaper to repair the one side of my fleet bed, but that's not the look I wanted so I bit the bullet and shelled out the cash.

I had thought about that same bed. With me having a longbed, will I have to cut the frame?

Are you planning round rear wheel openings or sticking with the squared ones?

How exactly did you get the line gone? Did you lay a thin strip of metal in the gap then tack and weld it up? or did you just bondo it up? Just wondering. Thanks

I used that 2 part patch weld. Kinda like an epoxy weld. Then long strand KITTY HAIR. That stuff sets up like a rock. Long fiber reinforced filler.

When you used the two part epoxy, did you take apart the bed and put between the panels. Or did you just fill the gap? By the way, looks great. Hope mine looks as well as yours oneday.

Yes I would leave the square ones on. Put it this way, which ever way I do not have to cut anything, then thats the way iim going.
