New to the site
Hello, my name is Dan I live in Western Washington. I am a carpenter/cabinet maker/plumber/electrician and a all around handy man. I am building a 63 Chev Custom Cab SWB. I started this build in 1997 then had a few distraction and am now getting back to it. It has a MKVI 502/442 marine that was line bored square decked heads ported and gasket matched with 67' 435 Corvette 3X2 intake, march serpentine with vintage air, 4L60, 31-spline 9" 4:30 Posi, 4-wheel disc &, Purple Hart bedwood that I custom made. It also has a two-tone powder coated chassis.with a 1973 C-10 front crossmember and power steering box. The fuel tank is out of a late 70's C-10 Van that fit like OEM between the frame rails in the back. I used the van fill tube turned upside down fitted to a 88-98 chev pickup gas door & hardware located aft of the drives rear fender well & looks like OEM. I used a late model s-10 tailgate hardware and fitted it into the 63' tailgate. I did all of the fabrication myself and now it is ready for paint. The truck was from AZ. so it is a rust free rig. I also have a 61' Impala SS 348/350 3X2 4-speed 3:70 posi that I am the 3rd owner of. I am looking forward to meeting all of you and discussing these old trucks.

Re: New to the site
Mike, I saw there was a bunch getting together at the XXX in Issaquah. Can't make that but will be at the Monroe Swap Meet and the Portland in April. I bought the 63' in 97' and have done all of the fab work on it myself. Powder coated chassis two tone pewter and silver is all done. The rest of the truck is just about ready for body work. It was a rust free truck from AZ. just a little bit more fab work to do to the bed and those windows. I am going to bring in the tailgate area 5* on the top for a little different look. I was talking with another friend about those windows today and will be starting on those as well. Should be interesting. Anyway, I have had a few distractions from this project and am happy to be able to get back to it. I have not taken one picture of the truck in the ten years I have owned it. At least I don't think I have. May have to take a look. But I do have many of my Impala. The Impala is a 61 SS 348/350 4-speed and I am the third owner. The 32 is a friends all steel fenders and all 425 ci nailhead. I will see if I can get some pics of the 63 to post.

Re: New to the site
OK I took some pics of the 63'. I brought this rig home in pieces in 97'. Guess it is about time I took some pics of my build after owning it for ten years.
