Thanks guys... the 3.54 makes the truck a little sluggish, but I think the milage will make up for that. Also the fact I can go down the freeway without my truck screeming at me...lol I would love the new garage better if it were fixed and finnished.... I have to quit at dark because I can't finish the electrical untill the shop is fixed and finnished... It's better than laying on the gravel though.... Ugly steering wheel!!! LOL Hey it's a garden truck... LOL I will replace it when I decide to paint the truck... Hahaha!! WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

how hard was it to switch to an auto, did you have to get a new column or what?

Well I had to remove the standard transmission crossmember and add in the automatic transmission one. Install the automatic transmission frame bracket. I also had to change steering columns and remove the clutch pedal and associated linkages. Then mount the little clutch arm firewall hole cover... WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

...looks about like mine. All mechanical perfection and horrible body. Gosh it will be nice to finally tear the thing apart, and get the body/bed work done. Maybe some day...

Actually Cobalt the body is pretty strait and has verry minor rust... I will be fixing that in a weak or two and mayby even painting it. If not i will be at least getting it ready for paint. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
