Help with ball joint installation
I'm installing a new upper ball joint in the control arm and not sure if the rubber boot and retainer (thin flat plate with flange that holds the boot) goes on top of the arm or below. I did not receive instructions with the new ball joint so I'm not sure.
It looks like it could go either way although it seems like it might not fit through the hole in the upper arm if I mount it on top. Anyone know how it should go? It is a moog ball joint. thanks

I believe the boot and retainer mount under control arm, like you said, it doesn't fit through the top.
