Hi Roy! I can't throw a cat through the rust in the side of that one, unlike yours, I don't know a whole lot about it, but it doesn't have the original seat, I'll need one...it had heavy rear springs, heavy duty battery, heavy duty cooling system, heavy duty seat equipment, power steering, some odd a/c unit, radio delete, factory arm rests, 86,028 original miles, cigarette lighter delete, tinted windshield, west coast mirrors, deluxe air heater, and that's about it. Says something about rear shocks on the list, but I forgot the code.

68 stepside, I have the exact same under dash A/C unit in my truck. Was this a dealer item? Mine will be coming up for sale just as soon as I find the time to pull it out of the truck. It all works if someone is interested.

The more I look at it, the more I wonder Pont. I don't think it could have been dealer installed, because it doesn't have the GM plate on it, like the under dash ones have, but I don't know for sure. And Wes, there are 3 67 panels that I know of now, yours,
mine, and 67rhpd1's (who is also from central Illinois) ------------------ 68 SWB S/S, 406 sb (the Mighty Mouse), 660 Holley, Computer Dyno'd at about 330 HP, and 385 LB. they are dealer/aftermarket retrofit, they are not GM made units,
i had one in the 68 panel also but it wasnt exact same model as this one is, finding these units is very common to find in certain regions such as here where no one ordered factory a/c cuz isnt as hot as long as in other regions probably, i forgot brand of the unit that wa sin the 68 panel, was same as what 68 suburbans burb has in it, its stamped on it somewhere, easy to see good score, TJ! How much for that ultra smooth "rare" vent in the roof? My 70 panel used to have one of those but now i just have a hole in the roof. "sigh"

Thanks for all the comments guys. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do from here, I'm guessing I'll drive it until the patch panels become available, and then...who knows what. It looks like Jason (racedvl) and I are going to do brakes sometime soon, after I get the drivetrain all in working order. It runs strong, but I need to get the shifter linkage all cleaned up and put back in. The short step is going to go into storage for now, I hate to do it, but I'd like to make this panel a daily for now.
