homemade radio delete

It's too cold to play outside today, so I had a bunch of inside projects to do.As I was cleaning up the shop I came across some leftover oak trim, some numbers from clock kits we made for Christmas presents and I decided to make a radio delete plate. I stuck it on with double sided tape. How's it look?

Re: homemade radio delete

looks good but wouldbe even nicer if you take the time to radius the corners to match the indent in the dash

Re: homemade radio delete

When I bought my truck the knob holes were a little boogered up & they had a plate bolted in behind it so it left four bolt holes. I made this cover & just used the holes that the PO drilled. Nothing wrong with making your own...

It looks 100% better than a big hole in the dash! Is your cluster silver? Got a pic of it?

Re: homemade radio delete

Looks fine, i would have welded up the holes to make it look like stock trucks that had no radio

Re: homemade radio delete

here's some pics of the cluster.
I couldn't find turquoise paint, but the blue adds a neat touch.
My son painted this as ahigh school art project.
