Trailering Special

Anyone else have a survivor? I bought a '77 454/th400 truck { for $750} with the trailering special package & was wondering if anyone else on the board might have one. Its a Silverado, has the sport stripes on the hood, tilt cruise, air, dual tanks, and posi rear end. If someone had just put it in the garage during that hail storm it was in.

The truck I have had these emblems on the cab. The small print reads 11,000 GCW. [img]

Re: Trailering Special

This is a side shot along with my equally dusty '68 ss 396 el camino. To save space in my shop I stacked the bed I want to use on the truck on top of the other one. [img]

Re: Trailering Special

Here is a pic of the 454. What I was wondering if anyone else has one or remembers a truck with these emblems. It is a 1/2 ton truck so it makes me think of a Big Ten. [img]

my friend's truck has those emblems, except it says 15,000 instead of 11,000

Re: Trailering Special

My Dad ordered his 1975 1/2 ton with the Trailering Special. It still has the emblems to prove it, and is a short bed. Ours has a 350/th350 with 4:10, all from the factory. Question? How rare are the emblems?

I'm not sure but thats a good question. I would think one with a short bed would be alot harder to come by too. This looks like one for Jeff! btw old rusty; I'l get around to it & see if we can't get some better pics. To cold around here now though!
