Dyno results in!

The 383 ran for the first time and was dynoed this past weekend. It made 330 hp and 408 lb-ft of torque with both curves flat as a board. It being the first engine I built from nothing, I'm just happy that it ran.

I'd sure like to have that in my truck! What did you pay to have it dyno'd ? Was it done in the truck - or is the motor not installed yet? Nice job !

Cool looks great. I love to hear real world horsepower figures. I get so tired of hearing about 450 hp smallblocks. 408 ft lbs will get you out of the hole in a hurry. Good Job!!!!

its not in the truck yet, next weekend probably (the next time i'll get home) it cost me $150 to dyno it, the machine shop is just getting their dyno setup so he gave me a deal. He'll have the full computer system up by christmas. H&J Machining in Carrington, ND did all the machine work and the dynoing. so if anyone in the ND-MN-SD area needs some good work done, they're excellent

I too and impressed..very nice.. makes you wonder about all of the 400hp 350s running around....its a lot harder than you would think to get big HP...not that 330 is'nt BIG...and that 408 ftlb will drive you into the seat

Looks like good numbers rin.

Carrington is pretty much smack-dab in the middle of ND, Slightly more east that west. It's a really nice little town. I've stayed at the "Chiefton" hotel several times.

I'll have to keep that machine shop in mind. I may be needing one soon.

carrington is about 2 hrs from fargo, west and north a little. the phone number at H&J is (701) 652-3289

i also like real hp numbers, not some magazine buildup with some very wishful thinking
