Door sags.

Both of the doors on my truck are sagging, how can I fix this? Any included pictures would be great. If it helps I will get pictures of the doors tomorrow.

Re: Door sags.

Put in new door bushings. You have to take the doors off to do this.

Re: Door sags.

Where can I get some bushings, and probably new bolts? LMC? or is there a better(and preferably cheaper) place?

Re: Door sags.

Try looking the parts store "HELP" section. You will be looking for gm truck door pins and bushings. There are two different sizes. One is replacement and the other is an over size for worn out hinges.

if you are going to be doing it by yourself I would remove the fenders it is tuff to handle that door by yourself with or without a floorjack

Re: Door sags.

$5 a hinge in the HELP section of any major parts store chain. I'd say it's a two man job. One to hold the door and the other to get the bolts in on the hinge. I'm sure others have done it by themself with a floor jack, but it went a hell of a lot quicker with two guys working in tandem. Even more so if you want to adjust the door to fit right again.

I took me and Dirtylarry an afternoon to do mine. Most of that time was spent in adjusting the doors after we rebuilt the hinges. (plus we had to weld up some stress cracks on the door hinge surface and the striker area)
