How many quarts of atf to fill th400
bone dry converter dry too how many quarts........ Tryin to get this motor fired today any help would be great...

If you drop the pan and change filter and gasket , usually about four qt's to fill, if the converter is completely empty, I would say about twelve qt's total. I would put in four and start and recheck though, I have found that even when converter is empty and you dump and twelve quarts into a totaly empty systems it can push out of dipstick tube.
