Shock relocation kit install.

Greetings to all. Does anyone have pics of a shock relocation kit install like the one from ECE? Even pics the finished product will do. Thanks.

Did you have to remove the plates where the shocks originally mounted on the trailing arm? Mine are welded on one side.

That really sucks. The trailing arms are already powdercoated.

I think Mine were just held on by the U bolts. The only thing I remember doing to the trailing arms was removing the old bushings.

As for removing rivets the best way I have heard in use a cut of wheel to cut a groove across the top of the rivet, then use air hammer to knock the rest off.

There is a link to a how to article from ECE, regarding rivet removal. I know it is a different truck, but go to page two.
