Power steerin pump disassembly
Without starting on taking this apart yet, do I need a special tool to pull the pully off? Or can I just take it to the local bearing place, and they'll take it off for me ?? I want to replace the pump with a new one. Also, does anyone know if the lower bearings on the seering shaft are pressed on or not? It seems like it. Mine won't budge. (Lower picture.)

Re: Power steerin pump disassembly
I can't tell from your pic but on my pump, the center hub was a nut you can take off. You might have a pressed on one, I can't tell, if so, it'll come off with a pulley puller (easy to make one if you don't already have one). Can't speak to the shaft issue

Re: Power steerin pump disassembly
Your pulley is pressed on, so you will need a power steering pulley removing tool (or you can fab one up, if so inclined).
The carrier bearing on your driveshaft is pressed on, as well. It usually takes either a hydraulic press or a lot of persistence and a BFH to get them off. Hope this helps, HomerJ
