Unidentifed bracket?

Anyone know what this bracket/stand-off is for? It's near the fuel pump area, but all my lines seem to be where they belong. It's on a 71 GMC 2wd V8 w/auto.

Thanks
Howard

Re: Unidentifed bracket?

Mine doesn't have one so it is probably a safety feature or something that makes it run good.

Re: Unidentifed bracket?

I suspected it was for the battery cable; that or a gas return line. Thanks guys.
