Electrical Question
Hi all,
Since owning my truck I've never had a working temp gauge, so that is my next project. According to the wiring diagram it was originally 20ga dark green wire, but I can't find that at your typical Home Depot, Lowe's, Auto Zone, Oreilly's, etc. Do I need to find some kind of electrical surplus, or can I just use 18ga? Any other stores you can think of? Thanks!

Re: Electrical Question
18 gauge should be fine but if you do want to get 20 gauge you could try the auto parts store or even wal-mart. If not there you can find it at any radio shack. They will definately have it.

Re: Electrical Question
18 gauge is bigger wire so its not going to hurt anything, in fact its probably a good idea to step up to 18, 20 gauge wire damages very easily
