craigslist help
i posted these fenders for sale on craigslist. and the guy asks if i will ship the to him for $100 shipped. so i did and it cost me $40. now he is saying i didnt tell him the rears where white and he wants a total refund. i would think anyone with some sense could tell the front is white and the rear is yellow. please tell me your opinion. would you refund all the money and eat the $40 shipping?

I wouldn't refund anything. You also didn't tell him that they weren't made out of titanium, but that goes without saying also. If he was concerned about the color, he should have asked.

Yep if he paid with his card. If through paypal, they'll freeze the $$$. I believe you are OK as there are picts, and he made the mistake just wait to see what goes down. Or offer to refund him his money after you get the parts back less the shipping (you refund $60 after the parts are delivered).

this is his reply.
In the picture, one is yellow and one is cleary wrapped up so that you cannot tell the color. I received it in the same wrapping and did not know it was white until I opened. The picture clearly shows one yellow and one wrapped up. Either you can reimburse me and I will mark return to sender or I can go through paypal to get my money back. Robert.

It's the buyer's f-up. Like others said, if he was so concerned about the color he should have clarified before buying them.
Just keep all of your communication with the buyer and the craigslist posting to show PayPal what the buyer received. |

You told all of us that the wrapped ones were white. So we all see that they are white. But I can also see where he may have thought they were yellow. It almost looks like the wrapped ones are wrapped in some sort of paper under the clear wrap. Im not trying to be an azz, Im just tossing this out.

Check the paypal site, getting a refund is VERY HARD, he will have to ship the fenders back to you and eat the cost of shipping... I know, been there, done that, lost my tail on a damaged engine through ebay. I was lucky to get a partial refund because the item was "Significantly Not as Described". Craigslist doesn't have any of the protection of ebay. Let him cry to pay-pal all he wants. Keep all the e-mails and print out your craigslist ad before it expires.
