TPM Question
I just went and fetched a set of factory rims and tires from a fella from his 2004 GMC truck, my Yukon needs new tires. But the Yukon has the TPM system and I'm unsure if the new set of rims and tires I just got has the TPM, is there any way to tell just by looking without cracking the tire off the rim to know?
If not I can just have these new tires put on my rims but heck if it's already got the sensors I just need to go have them tested for balance and put 'em on and save the mounting charges. Thanks for any help ![]() |

Re: TPM Question
You could put one on and give it a try. If it doesn't have the sensors your car will complain. If it does have them it will work.

Re: TPM Question
I would take a look at your valve stems, see if there is anything that looks different about what is visible. The systems that Discount tire installs have a block on the stem that you can see. If there is something that you can see different from the normal valve stem, then compare that to the other set.

Re: TPM Question
Btw, if the wheels you bought have sensors, they will have to be learned to your vehicle. They will not automatically read.
