Dash brainstorming
Still brainstorming (or not). Issue is how to get gauges in the dash, with a minimalist look, and still have some kind of style continuity with the curved lines.
Here's one...

Or... which could give me a hiding place for air gauges, switches, etc. if I did a flip face on the long part.

Since you seem to know how to do custom bodywork (or is it a photo hack) How about sinking it in and having a smooth gauge cluster, kinda like modern cars have.
Also how about a custom instrument panel (with radio ac controls), kinda in a modern look to it. IMO it would add a lot to the dash

Take your top picture (stock look) and extened it out like your third. Dunno, but it seems to not have a fulid or balanced look with the guage pod sides going the same way. The one idea sound pretty good to me also May get a dash panel from like my 96 GMC, flat & smooth and adapt it in.
Break out the photoshop some more before the saw

The only pshopping is of the gauge bezel parts. The actual dash looks like this right now...

i would smooth it all, screw the bezel. the french my guages. i have seen some older hotrods put all their guages in the center of the dash, but since these dashes are really big i would just keep them to one side. make sure to put your switches in a comfortable spot. nothing worse than having reach mile to adjust your ride height.-
