Hard top blazer anyone??

Been kicking this around for quite some time. Has anyone ever mated a suburban roof to a blazer shell? Kinda like a 2dr hardtop blazer? I have been following the 69 Tahoe build but it drives me nuts not having the 4th door! Sooo I I was wondering if anyone had tried it,built it or thought of it as I did. Any insight would be great ! Thanks... 2ton

Re: Hard top blazer anyone??

Sorry, but in my humble opinion, that's a shortened Burb, not a Blazer. A Blazer is in its full glory when the top is off:

It is a shortened Burb, but it is the closest thing to a hard top Blazer, at least as as close as I have seen.

I'd love to see one done as a SWB panel!

Those just look like Blazers with smoothed/painted tops.

Ya, I agree. It's hard to tell from the pics but I think the blue and red ones still have removable tops. I could be wrong...

As far as I know the first Blazurban(post 2) is a shortened Burb and the second one (post 14) is a Blazer with part of a modified Burb top.

Your Tahoe build is fueling my fire on this... I just wish there was a way to make it a 4 door tahoe. I have been trying to picture it as a 2 door but it just doesnt come out right. Awesome project! You truely are a craftsman!

Well, don't tell anyone ...but longhorn man donated an extra B-Pillar and third door to my project for just that purpose.

Still haven't decided whether I want to go that route or press on to completion, but the option is there. If I do it I'll probably suicide both rear doors Lincoln style.

It's a tough call because there is a novelty factor to keeping it a 3-door...
