restoration tips
I'm doing a frame of restoration on a 72 C-10. Does anybody have info or direction as to where I can find out the original finish on the nuts, bolts, clips, and etc. For example the fender bolts, cage clips, brake-fuel line bolts, spring bolts, u-bolts for lower a-frames, hood hinges, shift linkage, to much to list. thanks

Re: restoration tips
The only written finish recommendations that I have seen were by Eastwood and Year One. I have always tried to duplicate existing colors to a point as the auto companies used a variety of finishes and shades.
Some of the board members have done a lot of research on finishes and where they apply and they may have a list. Someone like board member 71 Super knows the finishes off the top of his head and there are probably others. I would suggest making up your own list so that specific answers can be given. Jim

Re: restoration tips
the bolts are going to be black oxide- going to look flat against gloss. If you have specifics in mind pm with your list and I will try to help out.
