Re: Wheres a good place to get some carpet for my Blazer?

Brothers has had some good deals in the past, but you might try LMC, I dunno, maybe someone else has a good idea...Have any of u used that 1/8inch thick molded industrial polyvinyl (MIP) floor mats that LMC sells? It looks nice in the catalog, but do any of u have pix of it in your blazer? 289 doesnt seem like a bad price for front, rear and wheel hump covers...any ideas?

I got mine here http://www.truckandcarshop.com/trucks60_72/t60_027.html
the only thing you have to do is make sure order the high hump or low hump depending on what you have. it comes with both front and rear pieces

My carpet's in good shape, it's just faded where the sun hit it. Can you dye it and what works best if you can. Thanks

Hit up WES at Classicheartbeat.com. Make a day trip down to olympia, save shipping, see some other cool trucks and have a conversation with him.

I'm just about ready to purchase some replacement rubber matting for my truck. It came factory with the rubber floor and I like the way it looks.

Re: Wheres a good place to get some carpet for my Blazer?

Mine is a little cracked, but it is 36 years old. It is nice to not have to worry about getting the carpet dirty. I don't think it gives as much sound dampening as carpet. The interior is a bit of an echo chamber at times.

Quality was excellent, front fit was perfect but the rear seemed to long.
Not a huge event, trimmed one end and was good to go.

First carpet set I've ever got for a blazer that had the jute backing under the rear carpet.

Hump height:
If you could unbolt the tunnel from the floor, it's a high hump.
If it's one piece all across the floor, it's a low hump.

Re: Wheres a good place to get some carpet for my Blazer?

Hi guys. I brought up that website, and $200 looks like a good price, and I know mine is High Hump, but how is the "CST Model" different from the regular model? LDoes it habe CST embroidered on it or something? Mines a GMC, not a Chevy. Does that make any difference?

Re: Wheres a good place to get some carpet for my Blazer?

myraley,
I'm not sure about the CST front carpet differences, but I had a 72 CST once and the rear deck had carpet around the wheel wells. Maybe that's what they're talking about.

Re: Wheres a good place to get some carpet for my Blazer?

Actually, I think the CST has shorter sides because the rear side panels ran into it. VT might know for sure. Wheel humps are usually included as part of any Blazer carpet kit.

Re: Wheres a good place to get some carpet for my Blazer?

ok, that makes more sense. It's the "wall-to-wall" carpeting logic. The CST side panels would shorten up the wall to wall dimension of the rear deck meaning a narrower carpet needed.
Good to know.

Re: Wheres a good place to get some carpet for my Blazer?

So if I dont have side panels in the rear, that means it wasnt CST? The front would still be the same though, right? Thanks for the info, I dont want to order the wrong one. I like that gunmetal gray color.

Re: Wheres a good place to get some carpet for my Blazer?

i ordered some from stock interiors a few days after it was suggested, and have it laying in to shape as of tonight. mine was the CST model. I'm still trying to figure out which direction it should go: with the extra material to be trimmed from the rear, or the other way so that it folds down over the front...
