Whats the deal.....
A few of my buddies and I were debating over what the deal with liquid filled guages were....whats up?

I didn't know such a thing existed for autos. 10 years ago I had a 32' Bertram. I remember the gauges were liquid filled to dampen movement in extreme seas... or so i was told...
Perhaps for racing gauges are liquid filled to dampen movement from g-forces? that's my guess... |

Liquid filled so they aren't effected by vibrations.

I also thought the liquid filled gauges made the gauge face appear larger also??

for racing or off-roading. They are more shock-resistent.

I've used them in industrial applications to dampen the effects of vibration. They typically have a rubber stopper to replace the oil.
