Sad story
Hey guys, sorry I havent posted. I have been really busy with my truck lately. On Dec 15, I was hit by a drunk driver and it really messed up the front passenger side of my 69 Step side truck. I have gotten the settlement from her insurance and am starting the long process of rebuilding my truck. Just thought Id share my pics, and will try to get some more up when I get it repaired. PLEASE... dont DRINK AND DRIVE.

Re: Sad story
That sucks, but at least your at the right place to find all the parts you'll need to get her going again. Nice truck!

Hate to hear about your sad news, but glad you're okay and happy to hear that you weren't in Pensacola where they let DeeWee's go free.

Re: Sad story
Could you give us info on how your insurance worked out for you and how well they paid up, the name of your insurance, any issues for us classic vehicle owners, etc...
Discussions come up every so often on how well insurance companies will treat you after an accident and how they'll pay up.

Re: Sad story
Seems like our trucks are drunk magnets lately..I'm just glad you are OK ...and they had insurance.
But ...don't let the insurance company rip you off...because that is their job..

Re: Sad story
On my way home a couple hours ago A COP pulled out and across 3 lanes right in front of me, nearly took my front end off just like that. I count my blessings. Glad you are OK and that the truck will be fixed better than new.

Re: Sad story
I'm getting really tired of seeing all of these poor trucks destroyed due to sheer stupidity of others.
Glad you're OK!!! So, are you doing a frame off now??? Or just a repair and repaint to get it back on the road again?

Re: Sad story
Pugs, it wouldnt have done any good to try to sue her. We'd never have gotten anything.
Brad, I dealt with the insurance for Justin, so Ill answer your question. We have Allstate ins, we first filed under our uninsured motorist because the reporting officer said that the other driver didnt have ins. They got right on the ball and sent someone out and got an estimate with in about 4 days, they were ready to send a check when the officer called and said the the owner of the car (was the drivers bf) actually did have ins. They have Progressive, they too jumped right in and got the adjuster out hee and cut us a check with in about a week or so, it was very fair per my body guy.

Re: Sad story
something to remember, with the insurance questions, getting our trucks repaired should never be a problem with the insurance companies... it's when they total them out, that we have problems.
