Question Th400+ Np205

I am looking for a Adapter selve to take a large out put shaft from a 400 tubo hydromatic and link it to the Np 205 on my 72 chevy.
How much longer is the TH400 than the Th 350. I think its only 2 inches longer but I could be wrong. What else is nessecary to do the swap. I will be pushing the motor mounts forward to get clearance for my BBC.
Anyone try swaping a TH400 with a small block.
Am I in for a surprise?
Thanks

If the th350 is mated with the currect 205. I think you need a different adaptor and you need to change the input shaft on the 205

Re: Th400+ Np205

A NP205 behind a turbo 350 has a 27 spline count. A NP205 behind a th400 has a 32 spline count.

Re: Th400+ Np205

You can fine the chevy cast th400/ 205 adapter on ebay, but you'll pay $150 to $200.
Look in the boneyard for one
