Really a local thing. Any good machine shop should be able to do it.

Re: custom driveshaft builder question

You can have Summit Racing order you a custom built driveshaft http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...=KeywordSearch Denny's driveshafts can also build you a custom shaft.http://www.dennysdriveshaft.com/or if you have a local driveline shop, most can build you a custom shaft. They will all give the proper instuction on how to measure what lenght you need. Good luck!

I agree Dennys is a very good place. Mine fit perfect. Just measure it the way he wants from the website or call him and tell him what your doing.

Re: custom driveshaft builder question

IMO I would go local also. We are lucky in Houston cause there are alot of places that do great jobs. If you don't have a place then on-line would be the way to go. I have just seen too many projects that were custom and having it local is real nice to fix. I know this didn't answer your question

Where you at ?

Chattanooga Driveline Service on E. 23rd should be able to help you pretty reasonable. ' don't remember their number though.

If not them, call Sonny's in Knoxville (865) 544-0144 - somewhere on Rosewood, IIRC. Give 'em a call if you're more West. They may be able to point you to somebody.

Re: custom driveshaft builder question

found a guy here in town. he's an old car guy and made up a perfectly fitting shaft the same day it took in the slip yoke for my trans. he and his son have a high dollar 57 2 door hardtop and about 30 - 40 old cars in his collection.
also got to keep some $ in the local economy.
