I like these...alot.
I think this set up is wicked cool. I don't even know how much it is but I'm sure I can't afford it. Anybody have or priced this or anything similar? It's from Barry Grant and there is no price on their website.

looks like a regular tri-power set- up I know someone that used to have them , they are great power when set up correctly but need a lot of tuning according to him.

I saw a write up in on of the mags.IIRC they were in the $1500.00 to $2000.00 range(somewhat more if polished).They would really look cool on an old school rod(not a rat) or a muscle car.However I think for pure performance the FI systems would give you better bang for about the same coin and be as easy or easier to tune.From my limited knowledge the center carb is the "running carb" and the only one with idle circuits etc. while the outter 2 are full throttle only.Set up properly i think it would make a great street strip set-up.

The cool thing about that setup is that it is tunable from 500-1000cfm.
It is pricey but it's the entire setup intake included. |

a bit over 2grand for this type and you need to be patient and tune them but once set are pretty much foolproof

Edelbrock makes a 6-pack for the Pontiac. Not sure about SBC.

i ran 3 two's on a 68 gto for years. there impressive when you can keep them right. i ran into float problems with mine, i tried metal floats plastic floats original floats aftermarket floats, differnet carbs etc. but after a month or so they would become water logged (gas logged?)
the metal ones would leak, the plastic ones would become saturated, and i never solved the problem. I just kept a spare set of carbs and swapped them out when they started to flood and run rich. at one time i had six sets of the 3 2's complete. and they would run but i never found out if it was something that i was causing or not. and i never heard of anyone else that ran them having the same problems that i did. the pictures bring back a lot of memories. all in all i would do it again!!!

Retrotek makes some cool stuff like a throttle body injection system that looks like strombergs. The throttle bodies look just like strombergs but inside of what looks like the fuel bowl is a fuel injector. My buddy bought a a set up from them for his 60 cadillac. They sell you everything you need to make it run and he was able to use a cool old edelbrock 3x2 intake manifold on his 390.
