WIW 72 C-10 swb fleetside
Looking to see what my truck is worth for possibly selling my truck. I am trying to cut expenses and such, and I am going out to sea soon.
If you click the photobucket link, you can find my pictures.. I am going to try to post some here though too. 400 CI World castings Motown Block, Domed pistons, air ride Muncie 4 spd, 3.73 gears w/ a spool, 4 wheel disc brakes, Vintage air A/C unit (currently installing) Single side window conversion, any questions, ask. If anyone wants to see it in person, PM me, and I will get you the directions If you need to know anymore specs, PM me and I'll get what I can.

Re: WIW 72 C-10 swb fleetside
looks like a pretty cherry truck.
id say, 12-15k, depending on how hot your 400 is. it also depend on where you live, up here that truck would be 20k+

I have them, I just didn't put them on, they arent in the greatest condition.. I was saving up for new ones.. but trying to cut losses and all, I may just sand and patch the old ones.

Yeah, I live in SC, and I'm planning to take this to a dyno, and see what numbers I pull.

Re: WIW 72 C-10 swb fleetside
if it was me, i would paint the front clip, and take care of the firewall and wiring... then i would say $15,000 easy.. as it sits, hard to say.. maybe $8,000ish

Re: WIW 72 C-10 swb fleetside
If you find someone to appreciate that motor $10-12, paint the clip and get it looking good, then $15-18K maybe? Can't you store it while out at sea? It'll be pretty hard to recoup all your $$$ and it'll take you twice as much $$$ to get back to where you are right now. I'd keep it, but I'm not you. Good luck and be safe!

Re: WIW 72 C-10 swb fleetside
What it's worth vs. What someone will pay are 2 totally different figures.
Front cap needing painting hurts it, some of the upgrades help it. Engine is a big + also. I couldn't tell you because I can't sell mine so that means I am very poor at putting a realistic value on your truck, but it is nice

Re: WIW 72 C-10 swb fleetside
Its a nice truck, but some things might make people want to lowball you. The blue frame may not be everybody's cup of tea, the spool rearend combined with airride is a little contradictory (is it a cruiser, or a drag racer?)
On the flip side, everything else is first rate. Hate that you have to sell it, but i've been there

Re: WIW 72 C-10 swb fleetside
Well all thanks for your feedback, and fortunately for someone out there, I have decided to sell it. Its in the for sale section, and I put it up for 8,000.
I'm moving out on June 2 so I hope someone scoops this up quick!!!
