Anyone have a billet insert with 69-70 grille?
I was curious to see if anyone has put a billet inner grille in a 69-70 grille. Here is a pic out of LMC's catalog.

It looks better on your truck than in the catalog. I was curious how they looked also. I have the bumper with the fog lights but have yet to install it. Any problems installing the insert??? You need to post more pics of that nice truck!

Billit grill was pretty straight forward but is definintly eaiser if you take the grill off the truck. Here are a few pictures of my truck. Just finished it in Jan.

Hate to say it but they are out of a ford focus only cheap ones I could find I re did them with leather and yes they are very comfortable. I raised them 2 inches from stock to get more leg room.

Custom mounts ? a picture of those would help. Did you recover with a kit or have it done for you?

Re: Anyone have a billet insert with 69-70 grille?
I used the base off my bench seat and welded tabs on the buckets which I then drilled and bolted to the bench frame. I use the front back adjustment on the buckets. a good friend of mine owns an upholstery shop and he did the leather with material he had left from another job.

Re: Anyone have a billet insert with 69-70 grille?
That is a beautiful truck! Few questions:
- What carpet kit did you use? - What brand electric fan did you use? and is it keeping the truck cool? - Steering column and wheel? I like the paint job also; the design in the back shortens the appearance but keeps a retro look. Excellent work! Mark |

Re: Anyone have a billet insert with 69-70 grille?
Never had two dacshunds at once, but I've had one at a time, twice before.
I gladly gave 31 years of my life to the two of them. Yours look like real sweeties. Or maybe yours are the "killer-attack weenie" variety. Just maybe ............ Anybody who hasn't owned a dachsund just wouldn't get it. "It's a dachsund thing. You wouldn't understand !!!!" |

Here's mine. From LMC also. Great Service. I broke the piece for the unlock Rod and they sent me out a new one.

Did you have any trouble getting it to fit? I have heard that some of the billet inserts don't fit very well.
