Had the Camera out, Fuel fill in bed
Here is how I did my Fuel fill in the bed. I will eventuly urethane coat the bed then it will look better. It is a later model blazer tank and fuel fill. I had to cut down the metal pipe on the fuel fill and rotated 180* then welded. Turned out ok. Tank hangs a bit low but I did not trim the bed crossmember, will probaly redo it later on.

Re: Had the Camera out, Fuel fill in bed
Mine is very similar but instead of the angle brackets, I just had a lip bent on the sheet metal to screw to my bed. What is that molding around the base where the hose go into the bed? That's a good idea.

Re: Had the Camera out, Fuel fill in bed
That is just a piece of 3/8" fuel hose split to go around the lip to prevent cutting the fuel hose. All the black paint is POR.

Re: Had the Camera out, Fuel fill in bed
If I may pick your brain, it won't hurt too much...
What year is the fill pipe from? Does it turn 90* under the bed or does the rubber hose make the bend? Any part numbers? I'm looking to do the same with my fill of a custom tank and you did a great job on yours. Thanks, lowrollin

This is exactly what mine is like almost. I already have my bed but, and it's going to sit back a little farther into the inside of the bed, but I will have the same box that you have there. I would like to know about your connections, etc. What you used to get down to the tank (flex hose), all that jazz. DLB |
