Used TCI Streetfighter Torque Converter- Houston- $175 Shipped

TCI Part #242963
30 Spline-700r4
Non Locking
3000 Stall

This came as part of a package deal I bought recently. It's used (@8,000 miles) but appears to be in good shape. I'd use it myself but the stall speed is a little higher than I'm looking for.

They retail for $525 new (check out the link below). I'd like to get $175 for it OBO (I'd consider trade for something interesting). Make me an offer.

I'd prefer a local buyer if possible to avoid shipping.

Man that was fast...

Sorry, forgot about the price rule for a second there. Post has been edited with an asking price.

Oh man, there's all kinds of stuff but since this is a truck forum, I'll keep it to parts. Let's see, since the stall on this one is too high, I'm in the market for a similar converter with a lower stall; say 2600 or lower. Radiator, auto shifter (either column or floor), radio, speakers...I'm sure there's some other stuff I can't think of at the moment.

1) What condition is it in?
2) Is this just the column or do you have the trans linkage as well?

It is in good shape. It is still in a running driving truck and I can include the linkage if you need it.

I might be interested. The next question is how do we handle the logistics?

Re: Used TCI Streetfighter Torque Converter- Houston

when the weather clears I will get pictures of as much as I can. If you like it I will ship the column and linkage and you ship the converter? I am in Little Rock and you are in Houston so shipping shouldnt be bad on either of us.

Re: Used TCI Streetfighter Torque Converter- Houston

Do you know if a 72 column and linkage would fit in a 68 w/o modification?

Re: Used TCI Streetfighter Torque Converter- Houston

This is still available. I'd really like to move this for some $$ ASAP. I'll take $200 shipped to the lower 48....

Here's some pictures of it to confirm its condition and also to confirm the part #....

That's works for me. If you're definitely interested in it, I'll consider it sale pending and hold it for you till then. Let me know.
