Custom Piston Help - 402 bb

This is my first post, many thanks to all of you for the great information compiled on this site.

My stepfather and I are restoring a 72 C10 (bb 402, TH400, 4.11 rear). The engine is being bored .030 over and I'm having a tough time finding a stock piston that will give me the optimal compression for my stock open chamber heads (6272292, 118cc). From the information I've received up until now, I believe i'm looking for a CR of around 9.5:1, which should maximize my hp on pump gas. flatlanderracing.com said my only option is a custom piston. I don't have a problem going that route, however I'm new to this and want to make sure I'm on the right track.

Any and all recommendations are greatly appreciated.
