New 1973 Cheyenne Super Project.

Hey all! Well we got another one. After selling the 83 a couple weeks ago it kind of left my girl and I with a broken heart... And with a broken heart and a pocket full of money, what do you do? You jump on-line and look for another! I found this truck on Craigslist, it's in Las Vegas, NV. We will be taking a trip this weekend to pick it up. Its a 1973 Cheyenne Super with a rebuilt 350 and th400 trans. The good thing is that it only has about 5000 miles since the engine and tranny were built, the bad thing is is that it's been sitting since 98. That's okay. I've dealt with worse. It also comes with a bunch of extra parts, a couple of fresh fenders, radiator support and a tilt column and more...all of this for $200! I couldn't say no... Here's some pics of the "diamond in the rough" and I'll keep y'all posted on the progress...

jc...

Yes it does. I'm already on the lookout for one. My bro-in-law has a bumper for it and I'm in the process of getting the original grille from a board member. I haven't even seen the truck in person and I already have parts for it...

Yeah, I've been reading your posts on your steering problems. That sucks, but I'm sure you'll find a solution. I have a 73 subframe on my 62 and it steers the same way your truck does, not to sharp left turns. We were thinking that the pitman arm is not centered on the steering box. I haven't done anything to fix. I just try to avoid u-turns...and in parking lots, I try to make sure it's a "right turn" parking spot. I hope you get yours fixed..that's a bada$$ little stepside!

I'm not sure. Must have been some kind of accident. It comes with good fenders and radiator support. I have a front bumper for it already too. The crooked stuff will be straigt real soon...as soon as I get her home...

It's all surface rust. It's not rusted through anywhere. It's a desert truck from Vegas so the rust issues are very minor. Way better than the trucks I've seen here... Well I guess it's got a little more rust than your 01 and 03...
