250 with a carter 32/36....anyone running this?
I came across a site with the carter 32/36 2bbl progressive linkage carb on a 250. I like the 4bbl 450cfm carb I have on my 250 right now, but I have never been happy with the cable linkage I had to use to get the thing to work (4bbls have to be mounted 'sideways' vs. a 1bbl or 2bbl carb). I was wondering if anyone has run these carter carbs, if they were even worth it, and what CFM they flowed.
Any information would be appreciated, they seem to be pretty cheap, it is either this or a motocraft 500cfm 2bbl.....I will probably end up back with my 4bbl when I have the time to make a good linkage, until them, I am looking for good/cheap alternatives. Thanks!

Re: 250 with a carter 32/36....anyone running this?
I think you're referring to Weber 32/36. I had one on my truck and while it was ok, a few years later it became very troublesome for me and it's the reason I went to my 1403. It didn't have the power and wasn't a good match for the 250, especially in a 4200lb truck.
