anyone heard of "Cosmichrome"
Has anyone used or heard of this Cosmichrome process? it seems to be the same as what the oem's use to make their plastic pieces look like chrome. i stumbled upon this website while looking for a chrome plater in my area. i'm thinking about having this done to my grill and would like to hear about others' experiences. the pictures in the galleries are incredible. some of the items that they made are very intriguing. i'm sure it's pricey but if it lasts, maybe it's worth it for something custom like that. chrome dash anyone?

Wow, that's amazing stuff. They say they can chrome plate wood and plaster. huh? Let us know what you find out. That'd be great for plastic grills.

Re: anyone heard of "Cosmichrome"
I was watching My Classic Car not too long ago and Dennis Gage had a guy on that started a company that he claimed was the only outfit out there that could replate plastic chrome but i dont knoe if it's this one you have linked but they were showing there process and how they did it and it looked really good but it was really expensive.

There is a place in Fort Worth that will swap you out a redone one for a used one and I think it is around $75.00. You send them your old and they will send you the refurbished one. They redo the chrome completely and repaint.

Re: anyone heard of "Cosmichrome"
87stepper that's one catchy tune on that website
here is the website that started cosmichrome i think http://www.goldtouchinc.com/cosmichrome/ some of the examples are absolutely insane and it looks like they can do it in different colors. i just think to have a stock grill that looked chrome would definitely be one-of-a-kind. check out this page of some of the vehicles with this stuff over the whole body: http://www.goldtouchinc.com/cosmichr...hromecars.html
